Chairman and CEO Kenichi Sekiya to Retire
DISCO Corporation announced today that Kenichi Sekiya will retire from his position of Chairman
and CEO.
In addition to retiring as Chairman and CEO, Mr. Sekiya will also retire from DISCO痴 Board of Directors, effective
upon the completion of DISCO痴 67th General Shareholders Meeting in June, 2006. At that time, Mr. Hitoshi Mizorogi,
President of DISCO Corporation, will be named Chief Executive Officer.
Today, Mr. Sekiya informed the Board of Directors
of his intention to retire, and this was formally accepted.
Mr. Sekiya will continue to serve DISCO Corporation as Honorary
Chairman.
Kenichi Sekiya has lead DISCO for 43 years since his appointment as Director in 1963 and has greatly contributed to the company痴
development. It has been his belief that nurturing a good corporate culture is one of the most important missions of management.
He decided to hand over the mantle to his successors, as the corporate culture has become well anchored within DISCO.
Mr.
Sekiya will leverage his experience and continue to support DISCO as Honorary Chairman.
