Construction plan for a new precision processing tooling manufacturing plant in Kure, and expansion
plan for the Head office/R&D Center
DISCO Corporation (Head Office: Ota-ku, Tokyo, President: Hitoshi Mizorogi) has decided to construct a new plant within its Kure Plant premises where precision processing tools are manufactured. This is an up-front investment to meet the growing, and future demand for precision diamond tooling.
It was also decided to construct an annex building on its Head Office/R&D Center premises, in order to further enhance
its R&D functions by providing larger available space for experimental production and development. The company is aiming
at responding to the diversifying application needs in conjunction with the development of the laser saw, recently
focused as a new processing method, as well as to larger size equipment used for processing of larger wafers.
