DISCO RECEIVES INTEL'S PRESTIGIOUS SUPPLIER CONTINUOUS QUALITY IMPROVEMENT AWARD
TOKYO, Japan, March 28, 2007 - DISCO Corporation was named a recipient of Intel Corporation's prestigious 2006 Supplier Continuous Quality Improvement (SCQI) award. The award is Intel's highest honor for its suppliers, recognizing them for outstanding commitment to quality and performance for providing products and services deemed essential to Intel's success. The company was recognized for its efforts supplying Intel with precision singulation, wafer saws, polishers, and grinding equipment. DISCO and nine other SCQI award winners will be honored at a celebration in Burlingame, California on March 27 (PST).

"Intel expects, and DISCO endeavors to provide, value-based solutions for safety, security, technology leadership, innovation, and cost of ownership in our collaborative relationship. We are honored to receive this benchmark award for measurement of supplier performance for the seventh consecutive year," said Hitoshi Mizorogi, president and CEO, DISCO Corporation.

"DISCO provides excellent cutting, grinding and polishing services," said Ron Rinfret, Assembly Capital Equipment Development director, Intel Corporation. "DISCO's unsurpassed focus on quality, technology and alignment to Intel priorities has allowed the company to achieve Intel's highest quality award for the seventh consecutive year. DISCO continues to be an important collaborator in the development and deployment of semiconductor manufacturing solutions."

The SCQI awards are part of Intel's Supplier Continuous Quality Improvement process, which encourages Intel's key suppliers to strive for excellence and continuous improvement. To qualify for SCQI status, suppliers must score at least 95 percent on a report card that assesses performance and ability to meet cost, quality, availability, delivery, technology and responsiveness goals.

Intel will also recognize SCQI award winners on March 27 (PST), 2007 with an advertisement in the U.S., Europe, and Asian editions of The Wall Street Journal.
