
DISCO Increases Investment for Construction of New Building at Chino Plant (Nagano Prefecture)
DISCO Corporation (Head Office: Ota-ku, Tokyo, President: Hitoshi Mizorogi) will begin construction on a new building at its Chino Plant (Nagano Prefecture) in August 2008, with completion scheduled for June 2009.
This is to report that at its meeting June 18, the DISCO Board of Directors determined to raise its total investment in the new building from the original 2.5 billion yen (as forecast when the plan was first announced in June 2007) to 3.0 billion yen to meet the rising cost of materials.

At the Chino Plant (Nagano Prefecture), the new building will replace the degraded existing manufacturing building to consolidate currently dispersed departments and improve work efficiency. An earthquake-absorbing structure will be employed in the new building. DAIICHI Components, a subsidiary of DISCO Corporation, currently manufactures its products at the Chino Plant. |
