DISCO Increases Investment for Construction of New Building at Kuwabata Plant (Hiroshima Prefecture)
DISCO Corporation (Head Office: Ota-ku, Tokyo, President: Hitoshi Mizorogi) will begin construction on a new building at its Kuwabata Plant (Hiroshima Prefecture) in September 2008, with completion scheduled for December 2009.
This is to report that at its meeting July 29, the DISCO Board of Directors determined to raise its total investment in the new building from the original 10 billion yen (as forecast when the plan was first announced in September 2007) to 11 billion yen to meet the rising cost of materials.

At the Kuwabata Plant, part of an existing manufacturing building will be demolished and a new building, to manufacture procession processing equipment and internally made parts, will be constructed. This will improve BCM readiness, invest in future demand expansion* and improve efficiency by consolidating the manufacturing site. |

Since there has been no more surplus space at the plant site since the completion of the new manufacturing building in August 2007 (announced in August 2006), we are planning to secure future production space by this new building construction. |
