The DWR1730 is a DI water recycling unit that integrates DI water production, temperature control, filtration, and disposal of suspended solids such as cutting particles. By adopting the proprietary, compact, high-performance “CC Filter,” the system achieves a reduced footprint. Compared with the conventional model, DWR1722, both cooling and water supply capacities have been improved, enabling support for grinders and multi-unit connections requiring a high flow rate.
The unit achieves a high recycling rate of 99.5% (zero cutting water drainage), significantly reducing city water consumption. Installation in cleanrooms with minimal ambient temperature fluctuation helps suppress water temperature variation. In addition, the small amount of makeup water greatly reduces the power required for temperature control.
The introduction of the DWR1730 contributes not only to environmental sustainability but also to the achievement of SDGs.
Unlike large-scale DI water recycling systems installed as part of factory infrastructure, this unit can be efficiently installed in line with the number of processing equipment. This also eliminates the need for extensive piping work for DI water supply and wastewater recovery, enabling smooth response to cutting and grinding water alarms.
Due to the impacts of global warming, heavy rainfall and related disasters are occurring more frequently worldwide. In the event of water-related disasters such as flooding, rapid restoration of production facilities is required in order to fulfill product supply responsibilities. The DWR1730 can be easily relocated, allowing it to be evacuated in advance when disaster risk increases. Because damage from flooding can be avoided, DI water production can be restored quickly after city water service is recovered. Even in the event of a disaster, the unit supports rapid business recovery and strengthens the company’s BCM (Business Continuity Management).
The DWR1730 allows consumables required for DI water production to be replaced during operation. Since the processing equipment does not need to be stopped during maintenance, high productivity can be maintained.
When no cutting water output is detected for a certain period of time, the unit automatically switches to energy-saving mode. In addition, the temperature of the spindle cooling water is monitored to optimize the power consumption of the chiller unit.
The DISCO-original CC Filter combines high filtration performance with long service life.
Suspended particles captured by the filter can be easily disposed of together with the filter itself.
